Queensland Police Service ? The QPS provides a number of internal counselling and support services:
- Human Services Officer ? Contactable at your Regional Office. HSO's provide confidential advice and support to officers encountering difficulties or trauma including personal injury matters.
- Peer Support Officer ? Contact your O/C for information as to who your station PSO is. PSO's are drawn from your peers being a fellow serving officer. They are available for confidential discussions regarding any problems either work related or personal.
- Rehabilitation Officers ? These officers are again found at station level. There primary function is to ensure injured officer receive rehabilitation programs and all support necessary to enable a smooth transition back into normal duties after recovery.
- Police Chaplain ? The police chaplain is always available for officers seeking more spiritual guidance or just a sympathetic ear.

Victim of Crime Association (VOCA) - provides a range of support services to victims of crime and their families at no cost. These include counselling services and support groups across the State. You can contact VOCA on 1300 733 777. |
